Services

The ITER Supercomputing Centre offers two main services designed to meet the most demanding research and development needs: high performance computing and infrastructure as a service.

Our high-performance computing service provides access to an advanced supercomputing infrastructure, capable of handling complex tasks and data-intensive processing with superior computational capacity. Equipped with state-of-the-art nodes and high-speed interconnection technology, this service is optimised for scientific applications, detailed simulations and big data analysis, ensuring fast and accurate results.

In addition, our Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) service allows organisations to access scalable compute and storage resources on demand, without the need to directly manage hardware. This flexible solution offers a virtualised environment that adapts to the specific needs of each project, providing computing, storage and networking resources efficiently and cost-effectively. With the Supercomputing Centre’s infrastructure as a service, organisations can focus on their research and innovation while benefiting from a robust and professionally managed platform.

High Performance Computing

Our high-performance computing service is designed for performance and flexibility. It enables the execution of jobs using an advanced task scheduler, optimising the use of resources and ensuring maximum efficiency in data processing.

With pre-installed software covering a wide range of needs, our customers can start working immediately without worrying about additional installations.

In addition, we offer the possibility of using proprietary developments, allowing users to customise and adapt their working environments to meet specific requirements. This combination of tools and flexibility ensures that our customers can tackle the most complex challenges with ease and agility.

Infrastructure as a Service

Our Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) service offers a comprehensive solution for scalable and flexible computing needs. By virtualising the infrastructure, we provide virtual machines with different capacities, adapted to the specific requirements of each project.

Each user can enjoy private virtual networks, ensuring a secure and isolated environment for their operations. In addition, we offer customised architecture design, allowing customers to create bespoke configurations that optimise performance and efficiency. External communications configuration is also integrated, facilitating seamless connectivity and data exchange.

This end-to-end approach ensures that our solutions are perfectly tailored to the demands of each user, providing a robust and tailored platform for the success of their initiatives.

After the receipt of this form, ITER will issue a binding offer for the total services requested. This offer will have a maximum validity period of a month. Upon acceptance of the offer by the customer, ITER shall assign a time interval to the client for performing the requested work. At this time, the customer will pay the 10% of the total amount of the tender for the reservation of the requested resources. This payment will be refundable only if it is established that the infrastructure don’t adapt to customer requirements during the testing period .

Prior to formalize the acceptance of the offer by the customer shall have the right to conduct tests on the infrastructure , in order to verify the suitability of the same character for your needs . For these tests will provide the customer with minimum necessary infrastructure required to verify adapting it to the requirements of the applications running configuration. This configuration will be available for 7 business days , such period may be extended if the evolution of the tests recommended . In no case shall the probationary period may be used for the provision of service to a third party.

If the client does not use the allotted time period, ITER will be able to realocate it in another slot , depending on the availability of computing and storage resources .

The client can request backup capabilities for a time agreed between the parties, these capabilities are not available in the standard queue processes. The customer must indicate this in the ” Remarks” service request, and will be taken into account when making the offer.

Base prices published are considered as maximum reference prices, lower prices may be set depending on the demand for services and the particular conditions of the services requested by the customer. In any case, the discount rates will depend on the number of nodes and time to be established in a given time and will be applied equally to all customers who make their request on the duration of these prices-base.
